After nearly a month, Views 2 Alpha 3 is released. See the release notes for real details, but the highlights are exposed filters and live preview. Live preview may be the single sexiest thing I have or will ever add to Views.
I've also published my todo list and developers who want to help can take on some of those tasks. With a little sweat, I think we can beta by early April.

Looking forward to this.
I haven't seen the latest rev of Panels, but I have no doubt that it's going to be killer.
Thanks.
Can I please have your direct phone number so I can call you when I need prompt support for this? %^~
You Rock!!
The interface is great ... so much easier to create views. I'm looking forward to the next steps. Thanks for all your (and the rest of the views gang's) efforts to bring this to life.
Yay! How wonderful!
Yay! How wonderful!
I like the interface too,
I like the interface too, but worried about now we are suddenly dependent of AJAX technology, many companies have Javascript disabled due security reasons, would it not be good to make it working without JS also ? Maybe it also do that. :)
100% js degradable
This UI is 100% js degradable. Yes it's all ajaxy but if you really, positively, absolutely can't have JS on, the UI will work. Not as nicely or as smoothly but usably.
It's environmentally friendly too.
